Going Home

Today we should be going home, Kel's been cleared and Baby Jadon is being seen by the pediatrician to be cleared. We both can't wait to show him his new home.

A new day.....

Good morning everyone and thanks for the well wishes. Jadon so far is a quiet one he hasn't cried much since he first came out. He slept for the most part last night with no problems. Kel has to keep waking him to feed him. Here's his first outfit we put him in. Today's been a busy day w/Nurses and Doctors. He even had a photoshoot earlier today those should be posted sometime tomorrow. Kel's doing ok they are planning to send us home sometime tomorrow.

2100.. Woohoo!! Making excellent progress now Kel's 9 cm.. It's go time!

Lucky # 7!!

2030.... Nurse came in, we're making good progress now! Kel's 7cm! T minus 3cm and we got ourselves a baby. Stay tuned.

Rest finally

1830 Kel's finally getting some rest, she's sleeping. Been hoping she'd get some soon. I have some time to work on this post and call everyone to give updates. Hope this comes out OK.

Anything yet?

1800 10 hours into our stay and everyone's calling wondering what's going on. Unfortunately not a lot of progress. The boy is giving Momma a hard time. We're asking ourselves if he'll come out tonight before Dr. C's shift ends. Any bets?

4!

1730 Dr. Casiano arrives, Kel's 4 cm! She's a lil natious from the epidural, so she's getting some meds to help her out. Contractions are still hard but slow :)

Epi

1700... Kel's tough, she went to 9 out of 10 on the pain scale before asking for the Epidural. Contractions are getting harder.. They put the epidural. She's feeling a lot better now. Still 3 cm.

Lunch!?!

1500 Kel's savoring ice chips, reminds me to go eat, so I do. She's contracting but it's slow going. We've been watching a movie August Rush.. It's good you should see it. Still 3cm

3!

1330 ... Dr Casiano stops by for the first time today... He broke the water and we are 3cm! Kels doing great. Jadon's being stubborn, still wants to do it his way. Is this a glimpse of the next 18 years? Kels muncing on ice chips. Gma & Gpa Alvarado leave.

Visitors

1300 Grandma Beth and Grandpa Gus stopped by to see Kel. They brought her flowers and balloons.

First Goof....

Of many I'm sure... 09:30 the hospital doesnt have internet. Kinda makes it difficult to send pics. Went home to pick up the cable that turns Kels cellphone into a modem to access the net.

Getting Started

So it's 08:30 we're getting settled in the hospital room. Huge suite almost like a hotel, all rooms are private. Kels 1cm dilated. On the way here we decided to try and create a blog/site to share w/our friends and family. Currently everyone is everywhere! From the West Coast to East Coast and even Germany!
